Canyon Del Oro - Oil on Board - 9" x 12"

This is a plein air painting of a canyon below the Catalina Mountains. The most difficult thing about plein air is that you have to paint fast to capture the structure of the scene because the light is so fleeting. Of course you could keep coming back to the same spot each day at the same time but I prefer to try to do it all at once. This painting is for sale for $100.
