If you go out late in the afternoon say between 4:30 and 6:30 in San Diego, you can witness some beautiful light. It isn't as dramatic as the desert light. It has its own quality. The greens turn a redish hue in the shade and the distant mountains continue to receed with shades of violet and blues.
