Changing Light - Oil on Muslin - 8" x 14"

Monday, I went out to Escondido by a lake to paint with fellow painters from PAPASAN.  I was late by half an hour and there was only one person there who left because of the changing weather conditions.  Having driven 3/4 of an hour I decided to brave it.  Two other painters showed up and one stayed until the rain and wind started.  I decided to continue.  Every time I looked up from my palette, the clouds and light changed but there was a moment where the sun came out briefly to light up the rocks and the clouds created an interesting pattern so this is my impression for as soon as I started to paint that, it went away.
