Cell Phone Tower - Oil on Muslin - 11.5" x 19"

This is a painting of what I thought was a beautiful bucolic scene of a farm house located just north of Escondido, CA. As I was painting it, a lady came by to check out what I was doing and when I asked her if she knew the owner of the farm house, she replied, "That isn't a farm house, it is a cell phone tower"! Well, I was flabbergasted. She pointed out the cell phone receivers and I finally saw them but they were very discreet. What will they think of next!

LOOKING TOWARD MEXICO - Oil on Board - 9" x 12"

I did this painting looking at one of the southern most tips of California. There is a reserve there and very beautiful. I was painting with my friend Stef who is lots of fun. We drove down there, had lunch - she is a "foodie" like me and then drove around for the "perfect" spot. I swear that most plein air painters are on the road at this moment looking for the "perfect" spot. I wonder how much money we spend in gas...hmm. This painting is done in high key color and muted somewhat to reflect the light there. I had a great time painting it. Don't forget the PAINTING GIVE-A-WAY. You still have 2 days left to register!

LAGUNA COVE - OIL ON BOARD - 10" X 14"

SOLD This is a plein air feild study of Laguna Cove. It was a really interesting day. It started off really foggy....like you were inside a cloud. Very interesting. Then the fog began to burn off and this is what I got. I love to paint in California because the weather changes from morning to evening but you can always paint something and there is lots to paint.
