WAITING FOR THE RIGHT WAVE - Oil on Board - 8" x 11.5"

This painting was done off of Highway 1 by a small camping ground. I was painting the picture when a young man came by to take a look and mentioned that his family once owned the property up on top of the bluff. He told me a story about how a sheik bought the property and made it into a religious retreat. Sounded like it was back in the 40s. He said his father use to play up there but stopped because he was afraid of the man dressed so differently than he. He told his son that he regretted not visiting with the man who beckoned him to come in. This scene is very typical of the shoreline with surfers any time of day waiting for the perfect wave. If any of you would like to participate in a free drawing for one of my paintings, you can follow this link. PAINTING-GIVE-AWAY It is free and easy and not too good to be true!
