This little painting was done on location at Patagonia Lake. I went out with some friends a few weeks ago and we traveled SE from Tucson. This area is a little cooler than where I live and it is probably too hot now to go back. In fact, it is too hot to paint in the desert now and unless I get up at the crack of dawn, I will have to start concentrating on my studio work. Fortunately, I have lots of studies to work from which is the point of my small paintings.
