Near Laguna- Oil on Board - 10" x 16"

This painting was done in California in the Laguna Mountain area. I get so excited when I go out to paint. My heart starts beating fast and I can't wait to set up and get going but I seem to always forget to find out exactly where I am....This was a beautiful day, a little on the warm side but survivable. I think the long rectangle is a good configuration for this type of painting. I have been painting on boards that I make myself with muslin and rabbit skin glue and of course gesso. I like the feel of the surface.
